Welcome to the website of Eta Kappa Omega (HKO) Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® HKO is in the Chicagoland/NW Indiana Cluster within the Central region. On behalf of our chapter members, we are delighted by your visit. Eta Kappa Omega is a Pearl Chapter celebrating 65 years of service! We were chartered by 29 visionaries on February 20, 1960 and since that time, we have been of “Service to all Mankind” in the East Chicago and Hammond, Indiana communities. Service to our community is a “serious matter.” Over the years, we have hosted cotillions, provided free dental care to local children, held book drives and delivered COVID care packages. We are “Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood” through the implementation of our International Initiatives:

Eta Kappa Omega is a multigenerational chapter with a myriad of talents and expertise to support the communities we serve. We are counselors, healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, retirees, Veterans, accountants, business administrators, managers, Information Technology Specialists and more.
